GridPencil

Terms of use

These are the terms for using GridPencil. They are short, and using the site means you accept them.

What you may do

Play the puzzles as often as you like, on any device, for your own enjoyment. Link to any page. Use the puzzles in a classroom or a club if they are helpful.

What we ask you not to do

Do not copy the puzzle guides, the page text or the design and publish them elsewhere. Do not load pages by automated means in a way that strains the server. Do not interfere with the site or with any advertising on it.

Ownership

The puzzle programs, the written guides and the design of GridPencil are our own work. Many of the puzzles themselves are traditional and belong to nobody; anyone is free to make their own version. What is protected is this particular implementation and the words written about it.

Advertising and outside links

Adverts are provided by third parties, and showing one does not mean we recommend it. If you follow a link to another website, that site's own terms apply.

Copyright notices

If you think material on GridPencil infringes your copyright, email hello@example.com with: the address of the page; a description of your work and where it can be seen; your name and contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised; and a statement that your notice is accurate and that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will look into it and remove anything that is shown to infringe.

No guarantees

The site is provided as it is. We try to keep every puzzle working, but we cannot promise that the site will always be available or free of errors. Your solved ticks are stored in your browser and can be lost if you clear its data. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site.

Changes

We may change the puzzles or these terms. The version on this page is the current one. Our privacy page covers how information is handled.
