About Water Sort
Water Sort has six tubes. Four are full of jumbled coloured layers and two are empty. By pouring from one to another, you gradually bring the colours together until each has a tube to itself.
How it works
Each layer shows a letter from A to D as well as a colour. Only the top of a tube can be poured, and it can only land on a matching layer or in an empty tube. If several matching layers sit together at the top, they move as one, as far as space allows.
Every starting position is tested by the game before you see it, so it can always be solved. There is an Undo button, and it counts as a pour, so a clean solution is still the goal.
Solving tips
The two empty tubes are your working space. Guard them. Pouring a single layer into an empty tube is sometimes necessary, but once both empties hold odd layers you have very little room to manoeuvre.
Look for the colour that is nearest to being finished, and complete it. A full tube of one colour is out of the game, and finishing it may free a tube.
Before you pour, look at what the move uncovers. The best pours expose a layer that can itself be moved straight away onto a match.
Try to empty a tube completely whenever you can. Turning a mixed tube into an empty one is the single most useful thing you can do.
If you are going round in circles, undo back to a point where both spare tubes were empty and choose a different first pour. Of all the sorting HTML5 games, this is the one that most rewards looking before you tap.
